player information!
preferred name ; Bethymorte. Or Bethy I guess if you’re a minion.
age ; 27ish somewhere in there assuming that he gets out before I die of old age.
how you prefer to be contacted ; Messages in bottles of rum or owls I guess.
characters you already play ; Check the COC I don't have that kind of time.character information!
the basics
character name ; Aleksey Viktorvich Gurov
nickname(s) ; Alek is the name he goes by the most often. The way people pronounce his full name annoys him so he sticks to the simple nickname.
age ; 17
date of birth ; 04/25/1991
blood status; Pureblood of course and he wants to hex you for daring to ask.
sexual orientation ; For the most part Alek is straight however if he's the dominant in the situation he will occasionally go bi with a woman and a man.
wand ; 11 inch willow wand w/acromantula blood core
affiliation ; Alek is pretty much only on his side, but he does marginally support the DE efforts at least their hearts are in the right place.
the appearance
height & weight ; There is in Alek's opinion very little about himself that is average. His frame follows this theory as he tends to sit on the tall side of the register measuring in at a solid 6'1. He however tends to the other side on the weight scale as he has very little extra weight on him. He's not skin and bones, but there's not much extra either. Thanks to his fairly thin frame he comes in at a decent 180.
hair ; Alek is a big fan of his hair and the fact that he takes pretty good care of it is fairly obvious. He may not spend hours in front of the mirror, but he definitely gives his hair its due. His hair is a natural dirty blonde with golden brown highlights. He is rather proud of this color and because of this usually keeps his hair on the slightly longer side to give him options. As for hair styles he more often than not keeps it simple either just brushing it or occasionally spiking it up one way or another.
eyes ; Alek has pretty eyes that are almost perfectly almond shaped. His eyes are a gentle ocean blue color, but of course that's where the gentle ends as his eyes always have a rather shrewd or direct look to them. His eyelashes are almost invisible, but he does have rather heavy eyebrows. He leaves them as they are because he thinks they make him look more masculine and that they balance out his lips well.
facial features ; Alek has always been a fan of himself and very proud of his looks his face is of course no exception. He of course thinks his face is the most attractive part of the package. He has a very classical face with clean cut lines and strong well defined jaw line and chin. He also as he proud states has magnificent cheek bones. But of course his crowning glory is his lips. His lips are very plump and natural a warm pink color. There are some that say he has lips like a girl but he's quite sure they are simply jealous.
distinguishing features ; The first and most notable distinguishing marks that Alek can lay claim to are two beauty mark a.k.a moles on his face. He has a larger one on his jaw line on the left side of his face and a much smaller one on the right side about an inch from his nose. His last distinguishing mark is one most people don't see unless of course your showering with him. He has a rather distinctive set of scars on his back. Four slightly curved lines that look quite like scratches which they once were. The marks are courtesy of a rather intense 'study date' with Mystery.
style ; Alek's style is surprisingly subdued. He tends to be a little on the vain side, but this doesn't necessarily come out as obvious in his clothing choices. He chooses his clothing not to say 'look at me' but rather 'envy me.' He tends to stick to a more preppy sophisticated style. He will occasionally go a little casual, but even his casual tends to be more thought out than most people. He is also very big on quality. His clothes may look a little on the plain side, but anyone with an eye for fashion will recognize the fact that all his clothes are not only superbly well made, but tailored to him.

the personality
likes ;
PAIN Alek is by no mean a masochist. He is actually not a huge fan of personal pain even if he does have a high pain tolerance. However he definitely registers on the other side of the scale. He doesn't like the word sadist as it's such a plain shadeless word, but he won't deny it's a label most would give him without too much thought. He does indeed enjoy inflicting pain on others and he's quite certain there is no sound quite as beautiful as a woman hissing in pain at something he's inflicted. He is careful of course to draw the line as there in nothing attractive about screaming. However before you cross that line from pain to pure torture Alek is a big fan. He loves the power of it and the pure feeling such actions can result in.
HIMSELF Vanity is not something Alek often worries about. He's quite aware of his attributes and his down falls and after having done all the math has decided he's quite the specimen. He's very proud of most aspects of himself. He likes the way he looks. He enjoys the way he acts and he even likes the way other people seem him. He is extremely self confident and most probably his biggest fan. Alek is certainly a boy who will never suffer from a poor self image. He in fact feels sorry for other people since they can't even try to be as good as him.
TOUCH Alek isn't exactly the most sensitive boy in the world. There's a lot of emotional crap he's just not got much tolerance for, but this fact can often surprise people since Alek is a very touchy person. He enjoys feeling. Rather it be a casual touch like running your finger along a wall or along a woman's spine Alek likes touch. It is very rare for him to conversate without touching in some shape whether it be a shoulder pat or a hand shake or something more intimate. All of Alek's friends are fairly use to this practice as he's always been a touchy sort.
FIRE Fire is one of the most important things in the world. One can survive with almost nothing as long as you have fire. It provides heat, protection, and a way of cooking. Alek has always been a fan of fire, but this particular like goes a little deeper than physical fire. In this case he means more like a fire in the belly. Basically he means an inner force that makes you just a little more than every one else. A little bolder, a little more ruthless, a little more well everything. It's these people he tends to find a little more tolerable. He after all has no tolerance for weaker people. He likes people where you could figuratively get burned especially when it comes to the female population. He's always been a fan of women, but there's nothing quite like a woman who's just as likely to break you as make you.
THE UNKNOWN Alek is fairly sure boredom is the real reason old people die. Once you've run out of new things to experience and places to see well then there's no reason to live. This is why he likes the Unknown so much. Things that keep you on your toes, things that show you things you've never seen, feelings you've never felt is at least in Alek's point of view lie driving force behind life. He unlike most has no fear of things he doesn't really know, because he finds it all fascinating and he honestly hopes to face unknown things all the time.
dislikes ;
LOSING Who likes losing? Really it's not a very popular past time, but Alek is not what one would call a good sport. He takes losing anything very personally. Whether it be a real contest or even a perceived one. If he is interested in a girl and another boy shares the same interest and gets the girl Alek will be a very unhappy boy. Whenever he doesn't come out on top he can get rather grumpy. There is no better way to upset Alek than to do something he's invested in better than him. Of course if it's something he doesn't care about like say grades it's a different matter. It's because of this that Alek doesn't often enter into any competitive things. He's not afraid of losing, but afraid of what he'll do to the winner when he does lose.
IMPULSIVENESS Alek isn't exactly the most forward minded boy in the world. He doesn't need to lay a plan down for each and every action he does, but he does see a lot of value in carefully considering one's options. So he doesn't like impulsiveness very much. Of course Mystery is a good reason for this particular dislike as the girl practically breathes and eats impulsive. It is also a good coping mechanism to keep him out of Azkaban as if he always did exactly as he wanted exactly when he wanted, well he'd probably not be a free man.
GREEN Given that his parents have from the day he was born fully expected him to at some point in the future be a Slytherin the fact that he doesn't like the color green is a bit ironic. However he's just never really liked the color green especially since so many bad things are green. Broccoli is green, muggle money is green, when one gets queasy you turn green so it is not a color that bodes good things. Also the fact that no one and he does mean no one looks good in green doesn't help.
MUGGLES Without a doubt this is Alek's biggest dislike. He has from the moment he learned that Wizard's weren't the only humanoid species around knew that Muggle's were pretty much the greatest insult to wizard kind. How dare a creature with no real power get the upper hand just because they breed like rabbits? Muggles are short sighted small minded pests that rate right up there with bed bugs and lice. He honestly doesn't understand why they aren't allowed to hunt muggles. He's absolutely sure it would be a great past time and if one is allowed to hunt creatures that actually have a purpose why not muggles? The only thing worse than a muggle is a muggle born because they obviously stole their magic as muggles are born magicless.
BEING CONTROLLED Alek is a very independent person. He knows what he wants and when he wants it. He knows where he is going and exactly how he's going to get there. Being this self reliant he has a real resentment for people who try to make him do anything he doesn't want to do. He is for all intents and purposes an adult in Hogwarts or not he is legally old enough to make his own choices. People trying to make those decisions for him grates on his nerves. He is one who will graciously accept advice, but if you try to tell him what to do no matter how much sense it makes he'll dig in his heels and kick up a hell of a fuss. The only person who decides where Alek is going is Alek.
strengths ;
ARTIST Looking at Alek a lot of people don't think artist, but he's actually very talented. He's tried a number of mediums, but his favorite is without a doubt oil paintings. He does enjoy a bit of sculpture work, but for the largest part he'll stick with oils. For his age he is actually very good the problem a lot of people have with his art is the subject. He almost exclusively paints scenes of pain and misery. Human torture is one of his most common subjects. He has actually had a few gallery showings and while not hugely popular he does have a decent sized following and does actually sell most of his paintings at least the ones he chooses to put on the market.
CHARMING There are a lot of people Alek doesn't try to get a long with. At times he can be a real ass as he generally feels no need to impress people. However the people he does see a point in impressing Alek can often be very good at it. He can in fact be a very charming young man. He has a gift from knowing what people want to hear and exactly what tone they want to hear it in. The fact that he's a fairly good actor doesn't hurt this. He can't quite charm the scales off a snake, but past that if he really puts his mind to it he often gets what he wants with little more than a smile and a few carefully selected words.
RUTHLESS What must be done must be done. This is a philosophy that Alek believes in greatly. He may not be as classically ruthless and have the same killer instincts of some of his more infamous relatives, but Alek is perfectly capable of doing what he must do no matter how morally questionable said action might be. He isn't one to let anyone or anything stand in his way. If there is an obstacle that can only be removed by ripping the bitch down well perhaps it is regrettable, but Alek will not hesitate. He will do what is necessary when it is necessary which goes a long way into explaining how he wound up tied with an unbreakable bow to a crazy bitch he's not sure if he wants to keep forever or kill.
weaknesses ;
MYSTERY Being tied to a woman who's less than perfectly mentally balanced wasn't exactly a goal Alek had set out to accomplish. However due to circumstances he really had no control over he has found himself permanently tied to a woman who's just as likely to kill him as he is to kill her. There is a large part of him that enjoys the unknown factor she brings into his life as one can never be sure what Mystery is going to do or say. She goes a far way into making sure Alek's life never takes a turn for the dull, but she is doubtlessly one of his biggest weaknesses one that he has entirely too little control over. She could with a careless action kill both of them and there is pretty much nothing Alek can do other than follow the girl's every waking minute just to keep her from doing something reckless. As this isn't actually possible she's a huge weakness. The fact that more often than not she makes him want to kill her himself the consequences be damned is another sizeable issue. She is also a weakness because she always tempts him to do things he really knows he shouldn't do and it's always very hard to say no.
INDEPENDANT For most people being independent is actually a good thing, but more than occasionally Alek takes it a bit too far. He doesn't like to ask for help, because he sees that as a weakness. He should be able to take care of any situation on his own no matter what he is doing. He will rarely seek out help even if he really should. He doesn't want to give that control to someone else. So he tends to stick it out even if he's in over his head from the beginning. You see this most often as school as he'll never ask for any assistance no matter how confused or lost he might be with a particular subject. He'll get it on his own or not at all. But this behavior is likely to continue even if he was in trouble he wouldn't call for help even if he as in danger probably until it was too late if he called for help at all.
STUBBORN Alek is quite possibly one of the most hard headed people you will ever meet. Once he's decided something the chances of you changing his mind are about as likely as you becoming Minister of Magic. No matter how reasonable your argument is or how unreasonable his own decision was he's not likely to bend even a little with his decision. If he's decided something it's decided and that is pretty much that. This makes him more than a little inflexible and often hard to deal with, because he's often less than reasonable about some of his decisions. It also means that when he's wrong he'll pretty much never admit it and this can make trouble with the few friends he does have.
boggart ; Dying because of something stupid Mystery did. He has no fear of death, but the idea of dying by no fault of his own is scary because that means he has no control over his death.
amortentia ; Blood, Human sweat, and new lace
erised ; Basically Alek wants to carve his name into the world. He hasn't quite decided how he's going to do that, but he doesn't want to die and just be a footnote in history. He wants to be someone people talk about centuries later like Merlin and such.
veritaserum ; That he has an unbreakable vow with one Mystery Knight thanks to the fact that they killed together.
dementor ; His worst memory would be the day he and Mystery killed a muggle and made an unbreakable vow to keep it a secret. He doesn't regret the murder, but rather the fact that he is now permanently tied to a woman no one can really control.
patronus ; Alek isn't exactly the sort that can dredge up a deep meaningful memory so it's unlikely that he'll ever really master the patronus charm. However when he tries really hard he can produce an almost solid looking silver mist that almost takes the shape of a chameleon. His best memory would be the first time he sold a painting. This is his favorite memory for many reasons one because on his own he had managed to make his own money therefore proving himself not only a man, but an independent one. But secondly because it gave him a lot of pleasure to know that people wanted what he could give. Even if that just meant selling a picture of a mostly nude woman being flogged.
personality ;
What you see is rarely what you get when dealing with one Aleksey Gurov. The boy is a natural born actor. This is a skill that Alek uses fairly sparingly so a lot of people aren't aware of it. He is also a very good liar. He of course doesn't always get away with it, but when he's caught in a lie it's not because of his own skill, but because the person he lied to did a lot of research into the matter to prove him a liar. Even the best of liars can't get away with it if someone checks every fact and thing one says.
He is also a very controlled boy. Of course if he wasn't he'd probably be locked up in a nut house. The boy is a tried and true sadist. He enjoys hurting people, he loves the sounds people make when in pain, he loves watching their expressions as they experiences different painful stimuli. If he wasn't a controlled boy by now he would have hurt someone enough to be locked up. Whether it would be Mungo's or Azzie is anyone’s guess. So Alek is very careful to reign in his urges. Maybe he never quite sates the dark thirst in his head, but he does enough to get by. He's also quite good at minding his tongue. He manages not to say a lot of things that most people probably wouldn't want to hear. Even though he often thinks and wants to say things very badly.
He is also a very possessive boy. What is his is his and no one else’s. While he's not adverse to sharing with people of worth he will never allow anyone to take anything he considers his whether it be a thing or a person. Alek is as easily possessive of people as objects perhaps more so. Mystery is unsurprisingly one of these people, but it extends beyond her just to people that he might consider friends. More often than not these people are female, but being possessive over a boy wouldn't be impossible.
Oddly enough despite the fact that Alek is and can be a very good liar he is more often than not a very open and honest person. He is proud of who he is so he sees no reason to hide what he is. He's a sadist and he really doesn't care who knows it. That is blatantly displayed in his art. He's arrogant and he doesn't care who knows it. He's proud of whom he is and there's no reason to pretend other wise. He's a muggle hater and this is again something he doesn't even try to hide. He could pretend that he likes muggles so as to make him look less suspicious in the eyes of the ministry and such, but why? Again he sees nothing to be ashamed of and sees no reason to hide it. He knows he's right and the fact that plenty of people disagree with him well that really doesn't matter to him.
He is also boy who wears his heart on his sleeve. And again he feels no shame about this. He is certain his father would prefer him to be a little more of a closed book, but Alek won't hide anything unless he sees an advantage to it. When he's angry you and half the castle knows it. When he's sad, hurt, happy you know it, because it's right there for the world to see. Again he has no shame he is who he is and he's proud of it for better or worse. Unlike a lot of men and especially boys his age Alek is very secure and comfortable with his emotions even the ugly ones. The only time he keeps his emotions to himself and when he plans to do something about them. If he's angry enough to want revenge there's a good chance you'll never know how angry he is until he responds accordingly.
Alek is also a bit of an impatient boy. He doesn't like to be kept waiting for anything. He wants what he wants exactly when he wants. Later is not a response Alek will ever happily accept. Alek is also more than a little materialistic. He isn't one who'll accept subpar materials. He doesn't want or need a lot, but what he does own and gets he expects it to be of the best quality. This is of course not to hard for him as he's a smart boy who'd rather invest the money he does get into a few nice things rather than a pile of crappy things that'll only last a little while. He is also very picky about what he eats and often has trouble finding acceptable food at Hogwarts. This isn't surprising given when outside of Hogwarts he pretty much lives out of Salazar's gourmet kitchen.
Alek is also a fairly loyal boy. Not to many things mind you, but the people and causes he feels strongly about he is very loyal. He of course is extremely loyal to his family. He and his family have a weird relationship as he's not entirely sure he likes most of them, but he's always loyal to the Gurov name. Any family who really needs him can rely on him even the ones he doesn't really approve of or like. This loyalty extends to his friends, but the friends he is close enough for this to extend to are few and far between
the school life
year ; Seventh
pet ; A black cat named Morning Star
favourite subject ; Without a doubt Transfiguration is his favorite class. It is a difficult class, but he enjoys the power of being able to change things to suit him.
worst subject ; It's tough to decide which class Alek likes least, but the top contenders are Herbology and Arithmancy. He hates arithmancy and finds all the math annoying. The only reason he took the class was because he refused to play with animals in COMC and he had no intention of learning any more about muggles that he had to. Herbology he sees as fairly pointless as one can just go to an apothecary and buy all the things you need plant wise.
best spell ; Wingardium Leviosa is without a doubt Alek's best spell. He is quite proficient with many charms, but his degree of control with the levitation spell is by far his greatest. worst spell ; The bubble head charm is probably the spell Alek has the most trouble with. He's not sure why but he's never really gotten the charm quite right. His bubble often pops far before he undoes the charm.

residence ; Alek lives with his father on the top two floors of the building occupied by Salazar’s.
history ; Alek would come kicking and screaming into the world on an unusually cold April day. His birth would be uneventful and much of his childhood would follow this same tone. Alek wasn't a silent child, but he often managed to go under the radar. As a baby he was fairly easy to handle as he really only cried and fussed when he really needed something. As a toddler he'd be a little more difficult, but as long as he was given what he wanted when he wanted it there weren't any real problems. He would quickly show off the fact that he was indeed a wizard.
It would be a simple display, but it would occur at dinner time when his parents were insisting he eat the dinner which did not meet his standards. As he sat their ruminating on the injustice of having to eat something he didn't think fit for dogs his plate levitated up and dumped itself into his mother's lap. He of course got into trouble, but at least any worries about being a squib were quickly put to rest so he wasn't punished that harshly. The fact that his father seemed pretty amused didn't do any harm either. Magic wouldn't be the only thing he'd discover about himself at a fairly young age. Alek was only seven when he realized he was a sadist. Of course he didn't know the term, but he knew at a rather young age that he enjoyed hurting people and especially enjoyed how it made other people react. He got into quite a bit of trouble over this as before he learned to hide this tendency a bit better he was often punished for hitting, or pinching, or biting other children.
But other than a bit of trouble Alek's childhood was fairly quiet. This would change, but Alek wouldn't know it for a long time just a little while after getting his Hogwarts letter. Receiving his letter was of course no surprise as everyone knew he was indeed a wizard and every wizard in a large part of Europe was invited to attend Hogwarts. So the boy wasn't all that particularly excited as schooling while useful was nothing to get excited over. Honestly he knew if he stayed home he'd probably get a better education, but he was expected to go to Hogwarts so he went. There was a small part of him that would always resent this as no one asked him if he wanted to go, but he wouldn't kick up a fuss because he knew it was a battle he wouldn't win.
This lack of a fight would lead him to Diagon alley to pick out his Hogwarts pet. Of course if he knew then what this would lead to well then he probably would have fought like his life depended on it. Which in a weird way it did not that he'd know that until years later on. His journey into the store would not be a quick one as the boy had to examine each and every animal to determine which one was the best. Even at the age of 11 Alek wasn't a boy who settled for anything but the best. So he had taken his time and finally settled for a cat. Of course picking exactly which cat was another challenge. It was during this challenge that he would meet Mystery Knight.
The girl was nothing to write home about. A skinny girl dressed like a street urchin in clothes Alek wouldn't wipe his shoes on much less wear. At first he ignored her at least until she seemed to have decided on a kitten which just happened to be one of the ones Alek was deciding from. He hadn't picked yet, but the moment the girl seemed to want it Alek immediately decided that the small boy kitten was his. So he pushed her over and took his kitten from her grip. Usually this would have been the end of Alek's dealings with the poor looking little girl, but then she did something strange. Instead of crying like most little girls did when he did something mean she smiled at him. It was an odd little smile, but it was a smile. And from one odd little smile a very strange friendship was born.
This was a friendship that would continue on into Hogwarts. The two weren't inseparable, but very rarely did any real stretch of time go by without Alek seeing Mystery at least for a little while. Alek's time at Hogwarts would go by fairly quickly and he'd manage to for the most part stay out of trouble. He had learned a long time ago to hide a lot of his darker thoughts. Now when he hurt people he made sure no authority figure would ever know about it. It wouldn't be until the summer after his fifth year that everything would change. It would start out ordinarily enough. Mystery was at spending most of her time with him as was to be expected as the girl avoided her home and her whore of a mother as much as possible. Being bored they had wondered over to Leaky Cauldron and then out into the muggle world.
Honestly Alek had no interest in the Muggle world, but he was willing to indulge Mystery a little as long as they didn't actually have to be nice to the Muggles he could deal. Not very far into their venture into the filthy muggle world they almost literally stumbled onto a filthy looking and drunk muggle. Alek had to admit he was curious. The sight was disgusting and shameful since the man obviously didn't have the control to keep his wits, but at the same time he felt pulled into the situation. A helpless muggle just sitting there practically begging to be shown why it wasn't smart to drink to the point of oblivion. At first it had started as a little game that mystery started with her viciously sharp little pocket knife.
But as Alek would learn the hard way games with mystery often went too far and this was no different. What had started as some mostly harmless fun turned into a mess as the pool of blood grew too big. Alek didn't know all that much about Muggles, but he knew even a muggle couldn't bleed that much and live. Alek watched the man die and honestly he really didn't care about the muggle, but the possible consequences. Muggles were useless piles of rubbish, but the courts wouldn't care about that if he was on trial for murder. Of course Alek couldn't see the point in getting too upset. It wasn't as if the muggles would really care all that much about some disgusting lump in an alley. So while they probably should have left right then they continued to play. Hindsight proved how stupid it was, but Alek just couldn't resist Mystery's suggestion to dissect the Muggle to see exactly what a muggle was made of.
They hadn't even really gotten to cut into the body when they were caught red handed. If you asked Alek then things couldn't really get worse. Being caught by a muggle was not only embarrassing, but also quite dangerous. A muggle prison wouldn't be able to keep them, but there was no way they'd keep their deed hidden from the Ministry if they were apprehended. There was of course only one thing they could do and they both knew it. Even Alek would admit it was eerie how well they knew each other to seamlessly commit yet another crime. Alek barely had to think about it before grabbing the muggle and securing his hands to keep him from reaching for his muggle weapon. Without speaking to each other they both knew their part and Alek watched vaguely interested as Mystery used to man's moment of helplessness to rather brutally dispose of the witness.
Of course then it was left to Alek to do the smart thing. Damage control was vital. A simple vagrant might have gone unnoticed. No one would care that a disgusting man had died no matter how violently it might have been, but an official of any sort was a different matter entirely. Alek had no respect for muggle law, but he knew they couldn't be reckless unless both of them wanted to spend the rest of their lives in Azkaban. So he made sure they cleaned up to make sure they left no real evidence that could be traced back to them and then he forced Mystery to leave even though her fun was obviously not done. This of course wouldn't be the end of the problem and it would in fact prove to be just the very beginning.
Alek knew he had no choice, but to control Mystery some way. While he knew he wasn't exactly a shining picture of all things normal and wholesome Mystery had a knack for taking things to a whole new level. He could practically see Mystery confessing just to see him get mad about being locked up. Honestly he almost wished that he could just kill Mystery and clean away all the strings tying him to the murder of two muggles. But killing Mystery was too difficult if she was murdered the authorities would at the very least look at him as he was one of the people closest to her. And he wasn't entirely sure he could stand up to the scrutiny so that eliminated that idea. Which left only one thing. He had to make sure the Mystery couldn't tell anyone that neither of them could ever admit what they had done.
The solution was easy. An unbreakable vow was no joke, but it was the only answer. There just didn't seem to be any other answer. So they reached an agreement that would mean that neither of them could ever speak without killing both of them. It also meant they'd both be bound forever, but Alek couldn't risk that Mystery would fall into the wrong hands and be forced to share her secret. To be on the safe side he also added a amendment about not killing while still at Hogwarts. This was of course mostly for Mystery as Alek knew he could control himself enough that such a clause wouldn't be necessary, but Mystery well one never knew. Finding someone to witness the vow was a hard decision as not only was it important to find someone he trusted to keep their mouth shut, but would actually consent to performing the vow.
The answer wasn't actually that hard as his cousin Zhenya was perfect for the job, but the actually getting to see the girl was the real challenge. Which wasn't all that surprising as she was being held on suspicion of murder and even upon release was being kept practically a prisoner by her own father. It took a long time and a lot of work to convince his uncle to let him see Zhenya and even after given permission they were only given a single hour. Fortunately admitting that they had murdered two muggles wasn't a big risk when his cousin was concerned as she was as likely to condemn them as she was to sprout wings and a halo. However convincing her of the necessity was a bit more of a challenge. But finally the vow was done and their fate such as it was sealed. To this day Alek isn't sure if he made the right decision, but while he might regret it he doesn't really question his decision. There simply hadn't been any other options at the time.
One would think that after their summer the time afterward would be simple, but one would be wrong. Returning to Hogwarts was a bit anti-climatic, but he was striving to live his life as normal as possible. No one could know what had happened over the summer not about the murders and not about the vow. So it was business as usual except that it wasn't. Things between him and Mystery had never been clear cut, but the vow had edged things up a knot. What had been a game seemed more serious and Mystery seemed thrilled at the idea of them both dying together. This of course went without mentioning all her little games where he felt she was trying to make him jealous. Unfortunately this worked a lot more often than he wished to admit. And if that wasn't enough there was a small period of time that it was believed that he could be the father of the baby his friend Ainsley was having.
So his sixth year was eventful, but eventually everything calmed down. He learned to cope with Mystery and her games for the most part. He was found not to be the father of the baby and he went home for the summer. The summer would only prove to be interesting because his Uncle would be arrested for the attack at the school that happened on the last night of the Hogwarts year. But as that doesn't really effect him Alek didn't give the event much thought other than to make sure he at least sent Verbal support. His seventh and final year has finally started and honestly Alek has no idea what to expect.
