the basics
character name ; Bobbi Jolene Struthers
nickname(s) ; Bobbi-jo, Jo
age ; 24
date of birth ; March 20, 19
blood status; Half-Blood
sexual orientation ; Bobbi Jo tends to be pretty open minded, but while she may experiment for the fun of it she's definitely into guys.
wand ; 9 inch elm wand w/ mermaid scale core.
affiliation ; Neutral as Switzerland well ok not really as she'd never side with the death eaters as they are all ass-hats, but the whole thing is bigger than her so it's not something she'd normally get involved in unless it knocked on her front door.
occupation ; Bobbi-Jo is a stripper and a aerial dancer specializing in silks.
the appearance
height & weight ; Bobbi-Jo isn't a girl that's easy to miss, but this has nothing to do with the girl's size. She doesn't strike many as petite as she tends to act bigger than she physically is. But she is definitely on the smaller side given the fact the she is exactly 5'3 on the dot. She has a compact lithe little body and while not exactly packing in the curve department she has a pretty good figure.
hair ; Bobbi-Jo's hair can be a bit unpredictable. She tends to keep it shorter, but that's about the only common thread. She uses her hair as a way to express herself. So her hair can range anywhere from laid back and easy to out right wild. She tends to prefer a patently not natural shade of white blond, but can go dark or even pink if the mood strikes her. Her favorite style tends to be a punky little spike style, but she has done rig ringlets and even long hair, but tends to stick to easier styles.
eyes ; Bobbi Jo is actually not a huge fan of her eyes as she thinks they are boring. They do side a bit on the common side as they are a simple shade a blue grey. That's neither bright enough or dark enough to really be considered pretty.
facial features ; Being the most beautiful girl in the world is not something that Bobbi-Jo would be all that worried about. She knows her face isn't perfect, but she's quite happy with it. But while she won't harp about it Bobbi-Jo does have a pretty face if not perfect. She has strong well defined cheek bones that mesh well with her buttonish nose. Her lips seem a bit on the small side, but again they mesh well with her other features.
distinguishing features ; Bobbi-Jo would like to tell you her whole package is quite unique thank you very much, but she does have a few things that stick out. The first is a small lopsided heart shaped birthmark on her left knee. She also has a small tattoo of a rose on her left hip. One of her most noticeable marks is the fact that she has a nose ring. She doesn't always wear it, but more often than not you'll see her sporting a simple silver hoop through her nose.
style ; Bobbi-Jo is a girl who likes her body and doesn't mind showing it off. She tends to have an edgy style mixed with a bit of sexy. She's fond of lower cut shirt and tighter skirts and pants. She is also a great fan of leather and anything a bit different. She's pretty well known for her loves of fishnets as well. She is also fairly fond of bright colors that really pop, but can just as easily enjoy black as long as it makes the right sort of statement.
play by ; Pink (A.k.A Alecia Moore)

CHALLENGES[/u] Bobbi-Jo isn't a fighter. She is for the most part a peaceful girl, but she is the sort of girl that does appreciate pitting herself against an obstacle. The harder the challenge the better. There is nothing quite like the feeling of finally beating a challenge no one thought you could. She has always loved a challenge. She truly believes that a life without challenges even the really hard ones that make you want to scream and cry isn't worth living. Because if you aren't facing a challenge you aren't actually living your just breathing.
ODDITIES[/u] Bobbi-Jo can be considered a quirky girl. She doesn't mind this. But she is also attracted to things that are just a bit different than everything else. She thinks that embracing some of the weirder things give you a richer life as some of these so called oddities hold a lot of benefits most of the world will never know because they label them as off and walk away. She also tends to consider herself a bit of an oddity as she's a pretty interesting mix of muggle and wizard.
COOKING[/u] A lot of people are surprised for one reason or another to find out that Bobbi-Jo loves to cook. She's a southern girl at heart and there are few places she is happier than in the kitchen cooking up something tasty. She loves the whole process from deciding what to make, to measuring out and preparing the ingredients, to the cooking, eating, and even the cleaning up. Being a Chef is her back up plan if she doesn't become an actress. The fact that's she's pretty good at it doesn't hurt. Before she left Texas to take classes she was offered a job at a pretty good restaurant and her friends were always around encouraging her to cook.
FIGHTERS[/u] Bobbi-Jo for the most part isn't a girl who likes violence. She's a sort of live and let live sort of girl, but there is nothing sexier to her than a fighting man. She knows its sort of twisted given her own peaceful nature, but there's just something about watching a man beat the crap out of someone that just gets to her. She's not necessarily looking for a violent man, but she does adore a man who will fight for what he believes in. Of course there is a line to this she doesn't have much tolerance for bullies.
CARS[/u] Bobbi-Jo grew up in the muggle world and even from a young age Bobbi liked cars more than people. Even as a little girl living with her father she'd sit and watch him for hours as he worked in his garage. She loves everything about cars. How they look, how they run, how they are built. For a while she trained to be an auto mechanic. She eventually decided to follow her dream of being an actress, but cars will always be her hobby and even a fall back should the whole famous thing not work out. She is especially obsessed with her car Bitzy an 1969 Barracuda. She built the car from the bottom up starting when she was seventeen. Bitzy is as much a part of her family as anyone else.
dislikes ;
BIGOTS[/u] Being almost a muggle born has strong feelings about discriminating against people just because they are different. She may not have grown up with magic, but she doesn't believe that should make her a second class citizen. So she has a real issue with people acting like they are better than her and there is no better way to get Bobbi all riled up than the treat her or someone she cares for like they aren't as important as everyone else. While Bobbi is mostly a peaceful girl almost every single one of her fights have stemmed from someone trying to treat her or her people as if they weren't human because they are different. She's a card carrying member of S.P.E.W because of this. She really thinks anyone who can feel should be treated with an equal amount of respect no matter their abilities.
SHOES[/u] Bobbi-Jo just doesn't like shoes. She thinks they feel incredibly restricting and uncomfortable. She avoids wearing anything on her feet as much as she can. When she can't avoid the need for footwear such as when she is going shopping she tends to stick to sandals or flip flops. She does have one pair of dress up heels for special occasions, but hates to wear them and a pair of winter boots she'll only wear after she's seen her toes turn blue.
LIMITATIONS[/u] Everyone has limitations and Bobbi-Jo understands that. No one is perfect and no one can do everything again she knows this, but knowing this doesn't stop Bobbi-Jo from being incredibly frustrated every time she encounters a limitation. Of course she's not too fond of rules that say you have to do this and you have to do that, but her own physical or mental limitations are what frustrate her the most. She also hates that people use limitations as an excuse. The only limit any person has really are the limitations you accept and nothing else.
FANCY AFFAIRS[/u] Bobbi-Jo is essentially a simple girl. She's not one who appreciates fancy parties and dinners and such. Pretty much anything she can't wear jeans or her usual clothes to she's not interested in attending. She'd much rather go to a bar or a honky tonk than a ball. She was the sort who would have skipped prom because she had no inclination to dress up. Pretty much if she can't go as is she doesn't go. It also doesn't help that she thinks all formal affairs are boring. To get her to go to one you'd pretty much have to threaten to kill someone she really cared about.
BEING TOLD TO BE QUIET[/u] Bobbi-Jo is an opinionated young woman. She doesn't always have to put in her two cents, but when she feels strongly about something she's not likely to keep her opinion to herself. So she hates when people tell her to keep her opinion to herself. Anyone who tries to keep the woman from speaking her mind no matter what the circumstance is likely to face a whole load of trouble from Bobbi-Jo. She also has a tendency to speak up for those who can't or won't speak up for themselves and she's especially touchy about people telling her to shut when she's trying to defend or help out someone else, because more often than not that person is probably one of hers 'strays.'
strengths ;
NEVER SAY NEVER[/u] Bobbi Jo is many things, but she is definitely not a quitter. Once Bobbi Jo gets an idea into her head she'll never give up on it no matter how hard. If she wants to do something she'll do it. Bobbi-Jo doesn't believe in never, because if there is a will there is a way. And she'll be exactly the girl to find it. She's also one that tends to encourage people to do the same. She always feels one can accomplish anything if one simply doesn't accept failure. This is one of the biggest reasons she tends to collect her rag tag group of misfits, because she doesn't believe in lost causes. She can be annoyingly persistent, but if you ever really need something done Bobbi-Jo is your girl, because come hell or high water it will happen.
OPTIMISTIC[/u] Bobbi-Jo is for the most part a realistic girl. She knows exactly what the world is like and she knows that bad shit happens, but she is still an optimist. She truly believes that if you try hard enough and believe enough in something or someone things will eventually work out. This is a strength to her as this is one of the reasons she can and does enjoy taking on projects that most people wouldn't. Whether it be fixing a car that seems to be beyond fixing or living a person that maybe doesn't want to be loved yet Bobbi-Jo is enough of a optimist to not let anything intimidate her out of something.
SELF CONFIDENT[/u] Bobbi-Jo believes in a lot of things, but she definitely believes in herself the most. She doesn't believe in limitations and she knows that as long as she's willing to put in the effort she can accomplish anything. This confidence is pretty encompassing as she's entirely comfortable with her body as well. She may not be the typical pin up type of girl or even the typical stripper, but she's again confident in herself and knows that she is good at what she does. This self confidence leads her to take more risks than a lot of people would and those risks often lead her to the best rewards.
weaknesses ;
TEMPER[/u] For the most part Bobbi-Jo is a laid back girl. She is a pretty patient woman that doesn't rile easily. However when she is riled she does it well. The biggest problem with her temper is that she pretty much has clearly labeled piss me off buttons. Bigots and abuse are her biggest hot buttons and once one of those are pushed Bobbi Jo tends to get involved no matter the risk or the consequences. This has and can get her in a lot of trouble. It almost got her expelled a few times and it did land her in jail twice, but Bobbi-Jo does nothing to try to fix this particular weakness as she feels if she changed it she wouldn't be the person who she likes to be.
ADOPTER[/u] Bobbi Jo isn't quite a bleeding heart however if there is a lonely stray more likely than not Bobbi-Jo will take them in. She's not a huge animal person, but any creature human or not that doesn't quite fit in for whatever reasons will easily find themselves included in Bobbi-Jo's ever growing extended family. This is a weakness because it makes her fairly easy to hurt and anytime any of her adoptees gets hurt for whatever reason she always feels guilty for not taking better care of them. The fact that she sometimes adopts people whether they like it or not can also be a problem.
POLITICALLY INCORRECT[/u] If it's on Bobbi-Jo's mind it's rolling off her tongue. She doesn't think or for that matter really care about what other people think of what she says. She honestly doesn't want to hurt people's feelings, but if someones feelings are hurt by the truth she doesn't feel that she can be blamed for that. She's not all that impressed by people who tap dance around the truth for the sake of people's feelings. She's a sensitive woman, but the truth is better spoken plainly. This can get her in a bit of trouble especially with authority figures as she's not exactly one to soften the truth. So sometimes she does get in trouble by her bosses when she tells them they can kiss her perfectly tanned ass.
boggart ; Betraying the people she cares for.
amortentia ; Motor Oil, fresh cut grass, and burnt sugar
erised ; She wants to make the world realize it doesn't matter what your born to be, but what you decide to be that really matters.
veritaserum ; Sometimes Bobbi-Jo wonders if she was the reason for her father getting so sick. She was a hell raiser as a child and can't help but wonder if her father was right when ever he said. 'Girl you'll be the death of me.'
dementor ; Without a doubt Bobbi-Jo's worst memory would be the day her father died. Holding his hand in a depressing little hospital ward was the worst thing she's ever had to do.
patronus ; Bobbi-Jo's best memory is the day she got got to show her father Bitzy after she had spent months fixing and restoring her. Bobbi-Jo isn't good enough with magic to pull off the Patronus charm, but if she could it would take the form of a mermaid.
personality ; The first thing most people notice about Bobbi-Jo is the fact that the girl is one hundred percent genuine. What she says she means, what she does is honest, and she's doesn't play coy. Bobbi is a girl who doesn't believe in the art of lying. She truly believes that the world has to accept her as she is or kiss her ass. She can only be herself and no matter how unhappy that might make some people it's the only person she's willing to be. She won't pretend to be something else to make the rest of the world happy. Which is why she's perfectly happy being a stripper with a car fetish even though a lot of people look down on her for her profession.
The next most obvious thing about the girl is that she is a compassionate woman. She's no ones sucker, but if she see someone in actual need she'll definitely help. Whether it be baby sitting one of her fellow strippers kid so that mommy can make enough money to pay rent. Or packing up her left overs and feeding some of the homeless people she knows she does what she can to help. She also has a habit of taking in the people the world has left behind. This is another trait some people have a hard time accepting as she tends to take some very unique people under her wings ignoring any flaws they might have. Anyone that really needs someone to accept them for who they are can turn to one Bobbi-Jo Struthers.
Because of this tendency her house tends to look more like a flop house than anything else, due to her tendency to let her 'adoptees' crash whenever they need to. She treats her home like a safe house it might be a freaking mess, but it's a judgment free zone where most people that need it can hide from whatever it is that's after them whether it be a person, their own past, or inner demons most people can't even guess at. Unsurprisingly Bobbi can be quite the mother hen in a low key sort of way. She won't nag or hen peck but she has a gift for getting people to do things they need to do even when they don't want to. She is also a fan of tough love and isn't beyond wrestling someone to the ground and making them do what they need to if it's important.
She is a very head strong woman that will always do what she thinks is right even if it's not easy. She is also perfectly willing to do something some people might consider bad for the right reasons. A good example of this would be the time she beat the living shit out of an abusive boyfriend of one of her 'adoptees' with a baseball bat to convince him to stop hunting for his favorite victim. For the most part Bobbi isn't a violent girl, but she won't shrink away from it when violence is necessary. Sometimes you just can't be the good guy and Bobbi-Jo understands that. She will always do her best to solve things peacefully as she is a girl that enjoys peace, but she strongly believes you have to fight for what you believe in.
She makes a good friend even if you aren't one of her outcasts. As she tends to be caring and gentle with pretty much anyone who isn't a complete ass-hat. She also knows how to have a good time. She doesn't drink or deal with drugs as she's seen enough times what they do to people, but she still knows how to party. She is also pretty free with the love and not even in a sexual sense. Well she is definitely no nun, but she gives her heart freely and openly to anyone who wants a little love. If you ask her she's fairly easy to love, because she doesn't need much or ask for much to be happy. Bobbi-Jo is definitely an easily content person.

residence ; A small flat just outside of Diagon alley.
history ; Bobbi-Jo would come into the world screaming and a full two weeks early late in the evening on March twentieth. She would be born from a one night stand that ended with a major uhoh. Tiffany Struthers would have no room in her life for an illegitimate half-blood baby especially not one fathered by a muggle. It had been an rebellious act against her father and had ended with a baby she didn't have room for. Fortunately for her while not the brightest or richest man in the world Rodney Struthers had a lot of love to give and would wind up taking care of Bobbi-Jo on his own. Tiffany would choose not even to hold the baby after giving birth to her and would disappear shortly after Bobbi's birth. Bobbi-Jo would never miss the woman really. Admittedly as she grew up she would be a little hurt that her mother couldn't make room for her in her life, but she never suffered for lack of a mother.
Rodney would of course be facing quite a challenge as he had no experience with children and had no one to help him as he was pretty much on his own. But he would do as best he could and Bobbi-Jo would quickly grow to be a very happy child. She'd spend most of her childhood with her father hanging around his garage. She would develop a love for cars at a very young age. Of course it would be hard not to as she'd spend most of her time hanging around the garage with her father and the guys who worked for him that loved working on cars as much as he did. She would learn more about cars and how to rebuild an engine and restore body work than she would about make up.
This would eventually lead to a few problems as she started going to school as she didn't know very much about being a girl. She was raised by guys and that's what she knew. She had a G.I Joe and not a barbie. This led to problems as she'd quickly learn that she wasn't quite like the girls in her class. She'd also quickly learn that she didn't give a rat's pattottie what the other girl's didn't like. She'd never really fit in with a lot of her peers, but she'd quickly find her niche with other people who weren't quite what everyone wanted to be. It would be the end of her kindergarten year that she'd get in trouble for fighting because some of her class mates were teasing her friend Shawn for smelling like cheese.
This would become an occurring issue with Bobbi-Jo. Of course she'd never really get in trouble. Sure she'd get suspended and expelled once in middle school, but her father would never discipline her for fighting as he was sure she was fighting for the right reasons. Shortly after her 11th birthday both her and her father would get a big surprise. Bobbi-Jo remembers the day very clearly she was working on the beat up old dirt bike her father had given her for her Birthday when a strange man walked into the garage and said that he needed to talk to her and her father. Bobbi-Jo was interested by the man mostly because he looked very serious in his three piece suit, but he had a stick stuck in his pocket. Bobbi-Jo found this very funny.
The man would eventually change Bobbi-Jo's life as he would explain about the existence of magic and that Bobbi-Jo was a witch and that she had been invited to go to a school that would teach her magic. For the most part both Bobbi and Rodney would take the news fairly well. Bobbi-Jo really started freaking out at first, but her father took it very calmly. He had of course noticed strange little things that seemed to happen around her and honestly it sort of made sense to him. Bobbi was calmed as soon as her father stated that he had always known that their was something magical about her. Afterwards she'd very much look forward to attending this new school.
Starting at Salem Witch Academy was quite a bit like starting elementary school in the way that once again she didn't quite fit in. The whole magical world was different from everything she had ever known. She didn't know what quadpot was or Quidditch or who the hell Bertie Bott's was and most of her class mates had no idea what a Cherry 1969 Chevrolet Camero Z28 was either. But she'd take to magic pretty well enjoying the oddity that it was. Everything was new and interesting and pretty cool. She'd quickly pick up friends all who were maybe a little different than some people, but she'd definitely start to make her mark on the school. Again as in her regular schooling Bobbi-Jo would have some trouble as she wouldn't stand for people picking on her friends.
She was a very small girl, but that never stopped her from speaking up for her friends even if sometimes that speaking was done with her knees, fists, and elbows. She was definitely no stranger to detention, but other than the occasional scuffle Bobbi-Jo liked attending Witch School as she called it. This would change half-way through her fifth year. The summer before had been rough as her father had been sick, but he seemed to get over it. Half way through her fifth year she would find out that her father had cancer and that would be the end of her time as Salem institute. Her father resisted the idea of her returning home at first thinking school more important, but Bobbi-Jo assured him Highschool would be good enough for her and she left to take care of her father.
She would however break that particular promise as she attended class very irregularly. This was of course not all that surprising as she was running her own home and helping out at the shop so that her Father's illness wouldn't kill the shop. His shop was as much his child as Bobbi was and she knew that so she fought to keep it open. Eventually after chemo and radiation her father would go into remission and life would return somewhat to normal. She wouldn't return to Salem as she wanted to stay with her father, but she did start attending a G.E.D program that she could at least graduate. She would achieve her G.E.D just after her 17th birthday and as a present her father would give her a clunker of a car.
When she first received Bitzy it was little more than a rusted out shell, but with lots of time and love Bobbi-Jo restored the car almost entirely on her own only needing a little help with it. Just before her 18th birthday she'd finish restoring Bitzy and be able to show her father what she had accomplished. Less than a few months later they would find out that her father once again had cancer this time in his Pancreas. Her father would pass away within two months. His death would hit Bobbi-Jo hard as he was the only real family she had. The reading of his will would also hurt as her father chose to give the shop to his best friend instead of Bobbi-Jo. He of course left her a letter explaining that he didn't want her to be tied down to his dreams, but it definitely hurt her.
For a long time Bobbi-Jo would have no idea what to do with herself. She began to wander from town to town living out of Bitzy. Eventually she'd settle for a while in a small city where she'd pick up a job as a stripper to pay the bills. She had almost become a mechanic, but the idea of working anywhere but her father's shop didn't appeal to her and her feelings were too hurt to work at the shop that no longer belong to her family. She'd get along fairly well avoiding most trouble though she did start getting into a bit of trouble with drugs. During this time she'd discover aerial acrobatics through one of the girl's she worked with. Bobbi-Jo would take this up due to the slightly dangerous aspect of it and would quickly grow to love it. Eventually she finally coped with the loss of her father and decided it was time to move on.
Shortly after all this Bobbi-Jo would decide to make a big change and move across the pond with the idea of following a less realistic dream of becoming an actress. A lot of people were confused by her choice to move to England rather than somewhere like Los Angeles or New York, but Bobbi-Jo needed a lot of space as she wasn't sure she wouldn't retreat back to Texas to continue to live at her Father's Garage. She knew her 'Uncle' Tommy wouldn't fire her or kick her out, but she felt compelled to at least try for something more than being a mechanic if only for her father's wishes.
Arriving in England Bobbi-Jo was a little lost. She wasn't really sure what to do with herself. Eventually she'd decide to go to school to take acting classes. She'd also decide to reconnect with the magical world she mostly left behind for her father. Fitting into the magical world after living a good portion of her life as a muggle was challenging. Eventually she'd find another job as a stripper to pay for classes and rent and she'd settle comfortably into her new home. She sometimes misses Texas and the Garage, but she has high hopes for her future and plans on making her father proud.
